Update Your HP Printer’s Software Package


After the release of a software package update for some printer models that use 934/935/950/951/970/971 cartridges, some compatible cartridges have stopped working.

HP indicated in a press release that the update aims to protect their intellectual property. On the other hand, this update was installed automatically, without the customer’s consent. As a result, thousands of customers around the world who used compatible cartridges found themselves without a printer. Seeing the worldwide disgruntlement over the update, HP announced an update that rolls-back the software package and it is now available on the HP site in your printer’s support section.

For the above reasons, Nu-Tone will not accept to return cartridges that would not be recognized by the printer, unless the customer prints a device configuration page that shows the software package’s number. Please note that the initial problem was caused by HP, and this update confirms that your supplier cannot be held responsible.
