HOW TO RESET MY BROTHER TN-630 AND TN-660 LASER CARTRIDGE

You have recently changed your toner and the machine screen continues to display the message "Toner Low" or "Replace Toner". This happens sometimes with Brother printers, because when a cartridge is first installed, the printer's internal toner meter does not always reset and you may need to perform a quick toner reset for printers that use the TN660.

Or, sometimes, when the machine does not work, the first thing that comes to mind is that it may be time to replace the old machine with the new one. Likewise, when the "Toner Low", "Replace Toner", or "Toner Ended" warning light continues to come on but you notice that the toner is still in your printer, you can not help but in doubt the quality of the toner. However, perhaps the printer vendor does not deserve your reprimand because usually, this kind of problem has nothing to do with the quality of the toner or printer. A few steps to reset the toner can help you get rid of these annoying "low toner" signals.

For Brother DCP / MFC series printers:

1 - Open the front door of the toner compartment.

2 - The printer screen should indicate "the front cover is open"

3- Press the "Clear" key on the front panel of the printer.

4- The printer will say: "Replace the drum?"

5- Do not press 1 here, but type "* 00" on the keyboard. Star zero zero.

6- The display shows "Accepted". Close the door and the low toner level message will be reset.

For Brother HL series printers:

1 - Open the front door.

2 - Turn off the printer.

3- While holding down the GO button, turn on the printer again.

4- When all four LEDs light up, release the GO button. All LEDs go out.

5- Press the GO button twice. The 3 LEDs (toner, drum, paper) light up continuously.

6- Press the GO key 5 times.

7- The paper light is flashing.

8- At this point, the end-of-life state of the toner has been reset. Close the front door.

Here's a tip for you: Timing is important here, so do not pause between two button presses. In addition, different printers and toners must be reset with different methods. The above method is suitable for Brother DCP / MFC / HL series printers that should work with TN-630 and TN-660 toner.
